Heritage & Production
Tuyết Sơn Trà HTX Suối Giàng is one of Vietnam’s pioneering cooperatives dedicated to preserving and elevating the legendary ancient Shan Tuyet tea forests of Suối Giàng. Founded in 2007 by Ms. Lam Thi Kim Thoa together with local Mong tea-growing communities, the cooperative was established during a critical period when Suối Giàng tea farmers faced unstable markets and the risk of abandoning centuries-old tea forests.
Through perseverance, cultural preservation, and sustainable tea craftsmanship, Tuyết Sơn Trà has become one of the most respected ancient tea brands in Vietnam, helping restore the reputation of Suối Giàng as one of the sacred homelands of Shan Tuyet tea.

Suối Giàng – The Sacred Land of Shan Tuyet Tea
Located high in the misty mountains of Northwest Vietnam, Suối Giàng sits at an elevation of more than 1,000 meters above sea level. Covered by clouds throughout the year, this unique terroir is home to one of the world’s rarest ancient tea ecosystems.
The region currently preserves over 400 hectares of ancient Shan Tuyet tea forests, including more than 40,000 heritage tea trees aged over 100 years. Some trees are believed to be more than 300 years old and are recognized as Vietnam Heritage Trees.
For generations, Shan Tuyet tea has been deeply connected to the cultural and spiritual life of the Mong people. Tea festivals, ancestor tea tree ceremonies, and traditional fresh leaf tea brewing practices continue to be preserved as living heritage in Suối Giàng.

Cultural Heritage & Tea Philosophy
Tea in Suối Giàng is more than an agricultural product — it is a living spiritual heritage. Every September, local communities organize the Suối Giàng Shan Tuyet Tea Festival and the sacred Ancestor Tea Tree Worship Ceremony to honor the ancient tea forests and pray for prosperity, favorable weather, and healthy tea harvests.
The Mong people believe Shan Tuyet tea trees are gifts from heaven. Traditional tea drinking methods, including boiling fresh tea leaves and brewing handcrafted green tea, remain preserved today exactly as they have for generations.
